In my practice I provide brief and long-term psychotherapy for children, teens, adults, elder adults, individuals, couples, families and groups. At FindingSolutionsTogether.com, we offer a comprehensive initial assessment and assist clients by diagnosing and dealing with many issues that include:
A therapist can help you and your loved ones through difficult life situations, improve your relationships, change your way of thinking and make positive changes, learn new problem solving skills, improve self-esteem, move past trauma, release destructive patterns of behavior, identify and build on your strengths, learn to deal positively with anger, anxiety and stress, strengthen parenting skills to decrease power struggles and improve cooperation, improve communication skills and much more.
During the course of therapy you can learn to create your own opportunities, become more self-aware, and promote personal growth and healing. All of these things can lead to assisting you to improve your daily functioning and to make positive changes in your life.
Everyone comes to therapy for their own individual reasons, but it seems that most people who have an interest in coming to counseling are going through trying times or are experiencing some kind of transition that is causing some difficulties in their daily lives. It is natural as a human being to resist change or often to give up in the belief that we can do anything to change things. Therapy is a way to get assistance from a trained and impartial person to get you "unstuck" when things get too difficult and to help you move forward. That's where I can help you.
I encourage you to investigate and find a psychotherapist that is right for you and has experience with the issues that you are dealing with. The success of your therapy depends on seeing a mental health professional that is a good fit for you.
You may ask, why should I attend therapy? If the answer is that you would like to make changes, alleviate symptoms, change undesirable behaviors, or gain insight, then therapy may be right for you. When you are dealing with issues that involve relationships, career, health, loss or overwhelming emotions that greatly affect your daily life, you will likely benefit from the help of an experienced professional. If how you normally deal with stress or life changes is not working, or if you have tried to cope or make changes on your own without the results you want, it may be time to get a different perspective from someone like me.
You don't have to face life's many challenges on your own. I would be honored if you chose me to work with you.
